1 pound fish (such as tilapia or cod), cut into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
1 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
Salt, to taste
Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

In a large pan, heat the ghee or oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
